Montfort School, Agartala
Introduction: In view of the study of the document Laudato Si, the staff and students of Montfort School, Agartala, decided to initiate several activities concerning this project. The Mother Earth is our Common Home which we need to love and care for. Apart from opting for a green and clean environment, the students were made to reflect on the challenges and the disadvantages of not caring for the environment. Saying ‘no’ to air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution are the need of the hour. This venture taken up in the School serves as a learning experience for the students and staff that they need to ensure a healthy atmosphere for the coming generations.
The School has taken initiatives in making the School environment plastic-free, managing the wastes, planting saplings in the school campus and harvesting the rainwater.
